ERRAF - Emera Inc.: An 'Instrumental' In The Utility Sector
- Emera is a leader in the growing field of utility-owned neighborhood microgrid platforms.
- A focus on utilities with mostly regulated business models remains the more conservative approach to utility investing, and my favorite regulated undervalued utility stock right now is Emera.
- As politicians heed Churchill’s famous words “Don’t let a good crisis go to waste,” there are too many unknowns to pick utility winners in Texas.
- Utilities serving Florida, Georgia, Pennsylvania, Wisconsin and Alabama are rated as the upper echelon of regulators by RRA and these states/utilities are where I prefer to invest. Emera is one such utility.
- Note: All numbers are in US dollars with an exchange rate of US$1=Cn$1.27.
