EMRAF - Emera: Investigating The 5.5% Dividend

Emera (EMRAF) is a well-known dividend darling of the Canadian market that grew out of Nova Scotia Power but now offers predominately U.S. exposure through acquisition of a variety of southern state electric utilities.

The share price was savaged in the recent sell-off following general market turbulence and release of Q4 2017 earnings on February 9th, down almost 20% from highs in December, reaching an almost three-year low.
