NRGV - Energy Vault in deals for battery energy storage projects in Texas California

Energy Vault ( NYSE: NRGV ) said Monday it signed two contracts to supply equipment, engineering, procurement, construction, balance of plant services and energy management software for two of Jupiter Power's battery energy storage projects.

Energy Vault  ( NRGV ) said it will supply a 100 MW battery energy storage system at a Jupiter facility near Fort Stockton, Texas, which will provide energy and ancillary services to ERCOT.

The company also will construct and commission a 10 MW battery energy storage system for Jupiter Power in Carpinteria, California, which will participate in the CAISO Resource Adequacy program and provide resiliency to California.

The systems will utilize Energy Vault Solutions ( NRGV ) integration platform and powered by EVS' energy management software platform, which began development in November.

Energy Vault ( NRGV ) recently reported a $0.05/share GAAP loss .
