DPHAY - EQT near acquisition of vet drugmaker Dechra Pharmaceuticals - report

- EQT AB is close to an agreement to purchase veterinary medicine company Dechra Pharmaceuticals ( OTCPK:DPHAY ).
- The Swedish private equity firm and Dechra are likely to announce a deal on Friday ahead of an extended deadline for the PE firm to either make a bid or go away, according to a Bloomberg report on Thursday, which cited people familiar with the situation.
- Dechra ( OTCPK:DPHAY ) in April said it was in talks with EQT in regard to a potential all-cash 4.6 billion pound ($5.8 billion) offer for the UK-based veterinary pharmaceuticals firm.
- The two sides had been discussing a potential price reduction after Dechra ( OTCPK:DPHAY ) on May 22 said that operating profit would be below a previous forecast.
