Market Recap for 2/18/2021 Today was a relatively overshadowed day with the U.S. House hearing taken place on recent market volatility involving GameStop (GME). In the equities markets the S&P 500 closed at 3,913.97, Dow Jones at 31,493.34 and Nasdaq at 13,865.36. In the commodities space oil slid -1.77% but was able to hold above $60 per barrel. In the bond market the U.S 10-year treasury rose slightly 0.06% and the US Dollar Index fell 0.44%. There was some news in the ETF market today with Putnam Investments announcing they plan to launch four new semi-transparent ETFs this year.
