STLA - EU commercial vehicle new registrations rose 12.4% in June
Commercial vehicle registrations in the European Union increased 12.4% to 185,573 units in June, followed by +51.3% in May.Demand was largely driven by Central European countries +43.4%, while only two of the four key Western European markets showed positive results: Germany +28.5% and Italy +5.3%.On YTD basis, commercial vehicle registrations boosted by 36.9% to 1M units. Italy recorded +53.7%, followed by Spain +38.4%, France +36.4%, and Germany +21.7%.New light commercial vehicles registrations grew 9.6% for the month. Germany saw the highest growth with +28.2% followed by Italy +1.5% whereas registrations fell France -10.0% and Spain -4.9%.New heavy commercial vehicles registrations up 37.1% to 21,828 units.
