The pan-European Stoxx 600 edged -0.26% lower , in early trade, with sectors mixed. Household goods and retail fell, while telecoms gained.

In the bond market, the yield on US 10-year Treasuries was down less than one basis point at 3.72%.
Germany’s 10-year yield was up two basis points to 2.47%.
Britain’s 10-year yield was up four basis points to 4.10%.
