WLTW - European Commission extends deadline for review of Aon's planned Willis Towers deal

Europe's antitrust regulator has extended the deadline for its review of Aon's (AON) planned purchase of Willis Towers (WLTW) until July 27.The European Commission is extending the deadline by 10 working days, according to a posting on its website.Yesterday, Reuters reported that Aon's concessions for its planned $30B purchase of Willis Towers  may not be enough to satisfy European antitrust regulators.Recall that in December, the EC opened an in-depth investigation into the proposed merger.
