FGM - European markets almost flat as traders react to fresh data

London +0.24% UK unemployment rate surges to 3.9% in March

Germany +0.23%

France +0.04%

The pan-European Stoxx 600 edged +0.08% higher, with most major bourses and sectors trading in negative territory. Only technology and utilities bucked the trend to push higher.

Coming up in the session: Eurogroup meetings expected later in the day. also German Buba President Nagel expected to speak.

In the bond market, The yield on US 10-year Treasuries up four basis points at 3.47%.

Germany’s 10-year yield was down four basis points to 2.28%.

Britain’s 10-year yield was down six basis points to 3.75%.
