The pan-European Stoxx 600 ( STOXX ) down 0.01%, sailing almost flat, with sectors spread between losses and gains. Autos fell as initial optimism over an EU probe into Chinese EV subsidies soured over fears of retaliatory action.

In the bond market, the U.S. 10-year Treasury yield was up 1 basis point to 4.26%.

Germany's 10-year yield was up less than 1 basis points to 2.65%.
