EWG - European markets dip after UK unemployment rate disappoints

London -0.99% UK's unemployment rate rises to 4.2% in June

The pan-European Stoxx 600 ( STOXX ) edged 0.65% lower, with UK gilts spiking after data showed basic wages in Britain surged to hit a new record growth rate.

Coming up in the session: ZEW economic sentiment for the Euro area and Germany is expected shortly.

In the bond market, the U.S. 10-year Treasury yield was up 4 basis points to 4.22%.

Germany's 10-year yield was up 5 basis points to 2.69%.

U.K.'s 10-year yield was up 5 basis points to 4.62%.
