The pan-European Stoxx 600 ( STOXX ) edged up +0.1% on Thursday ahead of the euro zone inflation data. European markets had closed higher Wednesday after data released in the afternoon showed German inflation eased to 2.3% in November. Markets were also keeping an eye on the COP28 climate summit that kicks off later in the day, and the much awaited OPEC+ meeting. Oil and Gas stocks were up about 1%, while chemicals dipped.

In the bond market, the U.S. 10-year Treasury yield was up less than 1 basis point to 4.28%.

Germany's 10-year yield was down less than 1 basis point to 2.42%.

U.K.'s 10-year yield was up 3 basis points to 4.12%.
