The industrial confidence indicator in Slovakia dropped by 6.6 points from the previous month to -9.3 in September 2023.

Spain's retail trade rose by 7.2% year-on-year in August 2023; Spain September preliminary CPI +3.5% vs +3.5% y/y expected.

North Rhine Westphalia September CPI +4.2% vs +5.9% y/y prior.

Household consumption of goods in Norway fell 0.5% month-over-month in August 2023, following a downwardly revised 0.1% drop in the previous month.

The economic confidence index in Turkey rose to 95.4 in September 2023 from the previous month's 13-month low of 94.1 as confidence improved in all sectors

The pan-European Stoxx 600 ( STOXX ) edged -0.10% lower, with sectors spread across positive and negative territory. Travel and leisure stocks were down, while oil and gas made the biggest gains. Market participants await key economic data that could have a bearing on the  European Central Bank's monetary policy.

In the bond market, the U.S. 10-year Treasury yield was up less than 1 basis point to 4.63%.

Germany's 10-year yield up 5 basis point at 2.88%.

U.K.'s 10-year yield was up 8 basis points to 4.44%.
