SilverCrest Metals Inc. (NYSE American:SILV) (TSX:SIL) has announced in-fill and expansion drill results for the Babi Vista Vein in the Babicanora Area of the Las Chispas Project in Sonora, Mexico. These results include holes with 2.1 metres grading 12,740 grams per tonne (gpt) silver equivalent (AgEq), 1.1 metres grading 101.45 gpt Au and 5,413.0 gpt Ag, or 13,022 gpt AgEq, and 1.6 metres grading 45.80 gpt Au and 2,395.9 gpt Ag, or 5,831 gpt AgEq. SilverCrest CEO N. Eric Fier commented:
"With the further expansion of the Babi Vista Vein, we continue to add value through the drill bit at Las Chispas as we systematically discover and expand high-grade silver-gold mineralization. In the last six months of drilling, the Babicanora Vein, including Area 51 zone has gone from being the vein with the highest-grade of AgEq on the project to fourth on the list, now superseded by the Area 200 zone, Area 118 zone and now Babi Vista. Babi Vista mineralization starts about 50 metres below surface and is open in all directions. The vein is approximately 230 metres north of the Babicanora Vein and was discovered while driving the Santa Rosa Decline to the Area 51 zone. With the infill drilling program complete, we are now operating 12 drill rigs (reduced from 19 until further compilation work is completed), which are focusing on the extensions of high-grade veins including several new blind (not seen at surface) veins that are being intercepted as we drill along the strike of the Babicanora veins."
Kinross Gold Corporation (NYSE:KGC) has filed a new technical report for its Paracatu operation in Brazil. Paracatu, according to the press release, "is expected to produce an average of approximately 540 Au koz. annually over 12 years from 2020 to 2031," with "total production over the remaining mine life is expected to increase approximately 24% compared with the prior technical report that was published in 2014." The report also indicates that "a newly updated resource model has resulted in the addition of approximately 828 Au koz. to estimated mineral reserves, more than offsetting 2019 depletion of 705 Au koz."
Pretium Resources Inc. (NYSE:PVG) has announced an updated Mineral Reserve, Mineral Resource and Life of Mine plan for its Brucejack Mine in Northwest British Columbia. Joseph Ovsenek, President and CEO of Pretivm, explained:
"Consistent with the preliminary production outlook for post-2020 gold production in the Valley of the Kings announced on February 12, our updated life of mine plan outlines average annual gold production of 367,000 ounces for the first nine years while mining primarily in the Valley of the Kings. At a gold price of $1,600, Brucejack now has an estimated after-tax net present value at a 5% discount rate of $2.13 billion over the 13-year mine life. Since achieving commercial production in July 2017, Brucejack has generated over $500 million of cash flow and is expected to generate strong cash flow well into the future."
Aura Minerals Inc. (TSX:ORA) has entered into a definitive share purchase agreement with Para Resources Inc. (TSXV:PBR) wherein the former will purchase all of the latter's issued and outstanding shares of its wholly-owned subsidiary Z79 Resources, Inc., which itself owns a 94 percent interest in Gold Road Mining Corp. Para CEO, Javier Cordova, commented:
"The closing of this transaction allows Para to focus on our Colombian strategy and to move forward with the acquisition of the shares Operadora, transitioning into a producing and profitable mining and exploration company."
