XLC - FAANG may change but Jefferies already has a broader Sweet 16: Alpha Tactics
The acronym may change as Facebook (NASDAQ:FB) becomes Meta, but for a broader FAANG picture Jefferies tracks a Sweet 16 of very popular names. "We have been tracking our own version of FAANG+ for over a year, and this group of stocks never seems to lose support," Jefferies Equity Strategist Steven G. DeSanctis writes in the latest report on the stocks. "The only time we saw the group lag was after the election and rates and inflation expectations rose sharply." The 16 stocks by sector are: Info Tech (NYSEARCA:XLK) - Microsoft (NASDAQ:MSFT), PayPal (NASDAQ:PYPL), Adobe (NASDAQ:ADBE), Qualcomm (NASDAQ:QCOM), Fiserv (NASDAQ:FISV), Nvidia (NASDAQ:NVDA), Apple (NASDAQ:AAPL), Broadcom (NASDAQ:AVGO), Texas Instruments (NASDAQ:TXN), Advanced Micro Devices (NASDAQ:AMD) and Intel (NASDAQ:INTC) Communications Services (NYSEARCA:XLC) - Alphabet (NASDAQ:GOOG) (NASDAQ:GOOGL), Facebook/Meta (FB), Netflix (NASDAQ:NFLX) Consumer Discretionary (NYSEARCA:XLY) - Amazon (NASDAQ:AMZN), Tesla (NASDAQ:TSLA) The stocks make up nealry two-thirds of the Nasdaq 100 (NASDAQ:QQQ).
