Farmers Bankshares (FBVA) is a seven branch community bank serving southeastern Virginia roughly between Franklin and Norfolk. Our interest in the company was originally kindled last year before the advent of the coronavirus based on a number of factors. Farmers had an attractive business in an attractive (and growing) geographic region with a stated intent of slowly expanding into more densely populated areas around Norfolk.
