Satcom services provider Viasat ( NASDAQ: VSAT ) has received approval from the U.S. Federal Communications Commission to proceed with its purchase of Inmarsat, the company said on Friday.
The company said it now awaits the European Commission's nod as part of the regulatory process to close the deal.
The transaction is expected to close later this month if pending approvals are received, the company said.
