FCAU - Fiat Chrysler to build hybrid electric cars in Poland in 2022
Fiat Chrysler Automobiles (FCAU) plans to build hybrid and electric cars at its Polish plant starting in H2 2022.The company will expand its plant in Tychy, Poland, to manufacture Jeep, Fiat, and Alfa Romeo cars. The cars will use advanced drive systems, including all-electric drive, the company said.The automaker will invest EUR 2B ($2.45B) in the project, Polish Deputy Prime Minister Jarslaw Gowin said on Tuesday.The plant currently produces Fiat 500 and Lancia Ypsilon small cars and employs almost 2,500 people.
