BRDCY - Fisker picks Bridgestone as tire partner for electric SUV

Fisker (FSR +1.0%) announces a new tire partnership with Bridgestone (OTCPK:BRDCY) for the upcoming Fisker Ocean all-electric SUV. Bridgestone was identified as a strong partner with a "like-minded approach to sustainability" across its entire value chain. The electric vehicle maker says the Fisker Ocean will make its global debut at the upcoming 2021 Los Angeles Auto Show, with production scheduled to start on November 17. The company says Fisker Ocean will sit on custom-developed Bridgestone Potenza Sport tires for vehicles sold in Europe and select models sold in North America. The bespoke Potenza Sport tires are being engineered for low rolling resistance, which conserves the Fisker Ocean's battery energy by ensuring that less power is required to move the vehicle's tires. Seeking Alpha author Josh Arnold thinks Fisker (NYSE:FSR) is a buy due to its long-term potential.
