Fluidigm (NASDAQ:FLDM) on Monday closed the strategic capital infusion from investors Casdin Capital and Viking Global Investors. Fluidigm has been renamed Standard BioTools and its stock is expected to begin trading on Nasdaq under the symbol "LAB" as of market open on Apr. 6. Jeremy Davis will serve as the company's new chief commercial officer, succeeding Colin McCracken, effective as of Jun. 12.
