F - Ford to end all projects with Mahindra & Mahindra in India

Ford (F) and Mahindra & Mahindra (MAHDY) say they will not collaborate on any project they had agreed to as part of their abandoned joint venture. At one time, Ford and Mahindra planned on developing at least three SUVs for India and emerging markets. The two automakers were also considering sharing suppliers, powertrains and technology. "As part of winding down our relationship, several cooperative product programmes will no longer proceed. We are currently re-scoping those product programmes," states a Ford India spokesman. Bigger picture: After entering India 25 years ago, Ford has only carved out about 2% market share. Shares of Ford are up 0.41% premarket to $12.30. Ford is 39% higher for the year with investors giving the automaker credit for its electrification push.
