FOXA - Fox News sends Tucker Carlson cease and desist - report

Tucker Carlson has been sent a formal cease and desist letter from his former employer, Fox News ( FOXA ), after starting a show on Twitter.
According to Axios , Fox contends it has the former star host under contract through the close of 2024 and continues to pay him under these terms. The media giant is reportedly arguing that the existing contract forbids him from broadcasting elsewhere until that expiration.
For his part, Carlson contends that Fox ( NASDAQ: FOX ) has also violated contract terms and argues that any move to silence him on Twitter would violate his First Amendment rights .
