First Trust Capital Strength has $8.2 billion in AUM and is in the top 100 of ETF asset accumulation. The ETF is classified as a Core Large-Cap Strategy.
The criteria are simple: companies with over $1 billion in cash + long-term debt to market cap of 30% and less + ROE greater than 15% + the lowest volatility.
FTCS offers significantly overweighting of low volatility and strong financial positions, two factors critical to maintaining stock value during times of market disruptions. This ETF is a “process” portfolio rather than the usual “position” portfolio.
