GCI - Gannett names Roberts new chief content officer

• Gannett ( NYSE: GCI ) has added Kristin Roberts as its new chief content officer .
• Roberts most recently has been chief content officer at McClatchy, where she led 30 newsrooms and introduced a new business model for local media that drove audience growth. She had previously served as national editor at Politico and had 13 years at Reuters covering business and economics.
• At Gannett she'll drive digital transformation and content strategy across USA Today and the USA Today network of more than 200 local publications.
