SHI - Global growth in trouble as U.S. slows and China unable to pick up slack: At the Open

Tensions between China and the U.S. keep rising in the political arena as the U.S. and U.K. join in a new security pact with Australia. But the economic divergence between the U.S. and China, which does not necessarily have to accompany politcal tensions, is also troubling, Deutsche Bank says. Stock index futures on Wall Street are pointing to a slightly lower open after yesterday's gains, with S&P futures (SPX) (NYSEARCA:SPY), Nasdaq 100 futures (NDX:IND) (NASDAQ:QQQ) and Dow futures (INDU) (NYSEARCA:DIA) down. Shanghai (SHCOMP) (NYSEARCA:FXI) fell 1.3% and Hong Kong (HSI) (NYSEARCA:EWH) lost 1.5%.
