Vancouver, BC - TheNewswire - December 1 ,2020 - GLOBAL HEMP GROUP INC.("GHG" or the "Company") (CSE:GHG ) / (CNSX:GHG.CN) / ( OTC:GBHPF ) / ( FRANKFURT:GHG) W ith the recent step towardslegalization of marijuana in Mexico, GHG is expanding its hempResearch and Development efforts based in Mexico, with the view thathemp material (hurd and fibre) will become readily availablein-country, making it easier to expand the Company's R&D effortsto develop hemp-based environmentally-friendly construction materials.
Global Hemp Group is pleased to announce that IrvingFernandez-Cervantes will be joining the Company's R&DDivision headed by Prof. VictorCastano , a recognized leader inseveral areas of applied science and technology from the NationalAutonomous University of Mexico, Mexico's largest university andranked highly in the world for its research and innovation. Prof.Castano continues to assemble his team with the goal of developingIntellectual Property that can be patented and implemented in the hempand/or building industry, and in particular, at Company's newlyannounced Colorado HempAgro-Industrial Zone .
Mr. Fernandez-Cervantes will be in charge of thepreparation and characterization of hemp fiber-reinforced materialsfor construction applications. His expertise in spectroscopic,chemical and physical characterization of composite materials will beof great relevance in the development of novel, patentableconstruction materials.
Mr. Fernandez-Cervantes holds a B.Sc. degree inMaterials Engineering and a M.Sc. degree in Polymeric Materials. Hehas authored and co-authored scientific articles in internationalpeer-reviewed journals in Materials Science and Engineering. He is anexpert in the development of novel materials from natural sources,including plants, fruits, marine organisms, etc., for a number ofdifferent applications, ranging from structural materials tobiomaterials for tissue engineering. In particular, he has developed anumber of materials for construction applications, based on naturalfibers, with a detailed knowledge of the chemistry and physics of thefibers and their interaction with different matrix, includingpolymers, ceramics and metals.
He is currently working towards his Ph.D. dissertation,based on novel uses of hemp materials and chemicals.

Allsecurities issued are subject to a four-month plus a day hold periodfrom the date of issuance in accordance with applicable securitieslaws.
The Company also announces that the Company will issue5,300,000 options to purchase common shares of the Corporation tocurrent Advisors of the Company, as per applicable Canadian SecuritiesExchange, policies all exercisable at a price of $0.05 for a period offive (5) years, subject to the Corporation's stock option plan. Allsecurities issued are subject to a four-month plus a day hold periodfrom the date of issuance in accordance with applicable securitieslaws.
