GLNG - Golar LNG to offer 11M shares in public offering

Golar LNG (GLNG) -6.6% post-market after saying it launched an 11M-share public offering, with an underwriters option to purchase up to an additional 1.65M common shares.The company plans to use the proceeds to repay part of its term loan facility and to repay the margin loan facility in full, while using any remaining funds for general corporate purposes.Earlier this week, Golar LNG reported a Q3 net loss and affirmed plans to spinoff joint venture Hygo Energy after an internal probe found no evidence of corrupt conduct by executives.
