MDP - Gray Television ViacomCBS renew CBS affiliations

ViacomCBS (VIAC, VIACA) and Gray Television (NYSE:GTN) have renewed all 47 CBS network affiliations for Gray stations in a multi-year deal. As with other affiliate renewals nowadays, the new deal secures availability for Gray's CBS affiliates on Paramount+ as well as wide distribution on virtual MVPD platforms. The 47 markets cover about 11% of the U.S. TV audience and serve nearly 13 million households. And they include two top 25 market affiliates: WOIO on Cleveland, and WBTV in Charlotte, N.C. On acquiring the Local Media Group stations from Meredith (NYSE:MDP) later this year, Gray will become the largest owner and operator of CBS affiliates (reaching 55 markets covering 18% of U.S. households).
