GP - GreenPower Motor stock rises as it secures $15M order from West Virginia state

• GreenPower Motor ( NASDAQ: GP ) shares surged 8% at market open on Thursday after the  company announced an order for 41 all-electric school buses from the state of West Virginia.
• The state placed a $15M order for 41 GreenPower all-electric Type D BEAST and Type A Nano BEAST school buses. As part of the order, GreenPower ( GP ) received a $3M deposit from the state per the agreement with the company to manufacture zero-emission, all-electric school buses in West Virginia.
• The purchase comes on the heels of the pilot project directed by Governor Justice last June. For the past seven months, 15 school districts have deployed either the BEAST or Nano BEAST in their West Virginia county school system.
