GP - GreenPower Motors rallies after issuing deliveries update

GreenPower Motor Company ( NASDAQ: GP ) rallied on Tuesdy after announcing that it delivered 101 vehicles for the quarter that ended December 31.

The electric vehicle maker said the majority of the deliveries were EV Star Cab and Chassis, as well as EV Star Cargoes, EV Stars. GreePower ( GP ) also made the first delivery of the Nano Beast Type A school bus during the quarter.

GreenPower ( GP ) also noted that it has deliveries scheduled for more than 100 vehicles in the current quarter and continues to increase its dealer network across the nation.

CEO update: "Our business development team and dealer partners have been hard at work and we believe we are on track to attaining an order backlog of 2,000 vehicles. Of significance is that almost all of these are supported by firm contracts or federal and state funding for the Nano BEAST Type A school bus, BEAST Type D school bus, EV Star Cargo, EV Star and EV Star Cab and Chassis."

Shares of GreenPower Motors ( GP ) rallied 8.60% late on Tuesday and are now up more than 29% for the early part of 2023.
