HCA - HCA Healthcare partnering with Google on data analytics platform to improve care

HCA Healthcare (HCA) and Google Cloud (GOOG) have formed a multi-year partnership for the development of a data analytics platform that will support provider decision making.HCA has previously published studies showing how algorithm-informed decision support can boost patient outcomes, as well as promote safety and efficiency of care.The company has already supplied its providers with 90,000 mobile devices to aid in care.The partnership with Google Cloud is expected to build on HCA's existing use of information technology by providing workflow tools and analysis to respond more quickly to changes in a patient's condition and provide better quality of care.HCA shares are up 0.3% to $210.77 and Google shares are up 0.2% to $2414.11
