HCA - HCA Healthcare to sell Redmond Regional Medical Center for $635 million
HCA Healthcare ([[HCA]] +0.0%) has entered into an agreement with AdventHealth to sell 230-bed Redmond Regional Medical Center located in Rome, Georgia for $635M.With the sale expected to close in Q3 2021, the company exits northwest Georgia and completes its divestiture of hospitals in the surrounding areas of Atlanta, HCA said in a statement.“The transaction provides strategic value to HCA Healthcare by increasing financial flexibility for investments in ongoing and future initiatives in core markets,” it added.Last week, HCA announced an agreement to sell four of its hospitals in Georgia to Atlanta-based nonprofit Piedmont Healthcare for ~$950M. The deal is expected to close in Q3 2021 subject to regulatory approvals.
