NOVA - Hot Stocks: AAPL extends high; solar stocks rally; LITM soars in debut; FL plunges; EAT sets low
In a lackluster session that saw the S&P 500 finish fractionally loser, Apple (NASDAQ:AAPL) remained a standout on Friday. The iPhone maker extended recent gains on continuing excitement about the prospects of an autonomous car from the company. The advance pushed the stock to a new 52-week high. Solar and alternative energy stocks also broke out of the end-of-week doldrums, rallying on news that a massive government spending bill had passed a major hurdle in Congress. Maxeon Solar (NASDAQ:MAXN), JinkoSolar (NYSE:JKS), Sunnova Energy (NYSE:NOVA), First Solar (NASDAQ:FSLR) and Canadian Solar (NASDAQ:CSIQ) all finished higher.
