SRPT - Hot Stocks: Credit card stocks fall; VMEO jumps; TTM soars on EV valuation; CTSO sets low; SRPT stock offering
Wall Street saw choppy trading on Wednesday, with the Nasdaq and S&P 500 eventually eking out thin gains by the close. However, the late rally didn't save shares of credit card issuers, which saw weakness on signs of stepped-up competition in the space. American Express (NYSE:AXP), Synchrony Financial (NYSE:SYF), Capital One (NYSE:COF) and Discover Financial (NYSE:DFS) all posted losses on the day. Sarepta Therapeutics (NASDAQ:SRPT) also came under pressure. Shares lost more than a tenth of their value on news of a large stock offering. The list of standout losers also included CytoSorbents (NASDAQ:CTSO), which plunged on weak preliminary revenues. The slide took CTSO to a new 52-week low. Fresh revenue figures had the opposite impact on Vimeo (NASDAQ:VMEO). The company issued monthly metrics that sparked a double-digit percentage gain.
