PRTG - Hot Stocks: earnings move RAD and ACN; drug development boosts LLY RCUS ARAV

Drug store chain Rite Aid (RAD) dropped following the release of its quarterly report, while strong earnings sparked gains in shares of consulting firm Accenture (ACN). Office furniture maker Steelcase (SCS) also got a boost on its financial results. Drug development was another major theme on Thursday morning. Drug-making giant Eli Lilly (LLY) advanced more than 7% after a positive FDA ruling for its Alzheimer's drug. Arcus Biosciences (RCUS) and Aravive (ARAV) both posted substantial pre-market gains on positive clinical trial data. Meanwhile, Portage Biotech (PRTG) moved in the other direction after the company announced a share offering. Rite Aid dropped more than 6% in Thursday's pre-market action, dragged down by its quarterly report. Earnings for the first quarter topped expectations, but revenue slipped 2.2% from last year to $6.2B. This
