LOVE - Hot Stocks: GME BASE AVAV drop on earnings news; RH LOVE rise
Earnings news drove many of the notable movers in Thursday's pre-market trading. Meme-stock favorite GameStop (NYSE:GME) provided the biggest name to report its results, with a wider-than-expected loss prompting a decline before the bell. Couchbase (NASDAQ:BASE) and AeroVironment (NASDAQ:AVAV) both lost ground on earnings news as well. Meanwhile, the release of financial figures inspired buying in shares of RH (NYSE:RH) and Lovesac (NASDAQ:LOVE). Decliners GameStop (GME) reported a Q2 loss that was wider than analysts had projected. The video-game retailer said revenue rose 25% to $1.18B. The meme-stock darling also said it ended the quarter with $1.78B in cash and less than $50M in debt. Still, GME dropped nearly 8% in pre-market action, hurt by the substantial loss for the quarter. Recent IPO Couchbase (BASE) also experienced a selling spree in the wake of its quarterly report.
