HUSKF - Husky Energy completes Liuhua 29-1 project sees first gas in November
Husky Energy (HUSKF) says commissioning is complete at the third field at the Liwan gas project offshore China, with first gas expected to be delivered to end users starting in early November.Husky and partner Cnooc (CEO) say the seven-well Liuhua 29-1 project was completed safely, ahead of schedule and $100M below budget despite the pandemic and associated global economic volatility.Husky expects the Liuhua 29-1 field alone will generate $1.3B in funds from operations for the company over the next decade.YTD production from the two producing fields at Liwan has totaled 390M cf/day of natural gas and 16K bbl/day of associated liquids; the companies expects FY 2021 total production of 450M cf/day and 17.5K bbl/day of liquids.Husky said earlier this month it achieved first oil at the Spruce Lake Central thermal project in Saskatchewan.
