IMG:CC - Iamgold names former New Gold boss Adams as new President/CEO

Iamgold ( NYSE: IAG ) said Monday it appointed Renaud Adams as its new President and CEO , effective April 3, replacing Board Chair Maryse Belanger, who was acting as interim President and CEO during the executive search process.

The company also named Maarten Theunissen as permanent CFO, having served as interim CFO since September.

Adams has more than 30 years of global mining experience in senior executive positions and operations, most recently as President and CEO of New Gold during 2018-22 and President and CEO of Richmont Mines from 2014 until the company was sold to Alamos Gold in 2017.

Iamgold's ( IAG ) management and board were shaken up in January 2022, with the departures of President and CEO Gordon Stothart and Board Chair Don Charter ( I , II ).

Iamgold's ( IAG ) Q4 revenues came in at a record $330M, up 12% from the year-earlier quarter, Fun Trading writes in an analysis posted recently on Seeking Alpha .
