DKL - Icahn rips Delek chairman's 'unsettling and murky' compensation
In a letter to Uzi Yemin, Chairman of Delek US Holdings ([[DK]] -0.7%) and Delek Logistics Partners ([[DKL]] +1.5%), Carl Icahn's CVR Energy ([[CVI]] -0.5%) criticizes Yemin's compensation and "highly unsettling and murky" public information on the subject.Icahn, whose Enterprises ([[IEP]] -0.2%) owns a 14.79% stake in Delek, says Yemin's total compensation of nearly $54M during 2013-2020 is too high for a company that has "made as many apparent blunders as Delek has made over those years," and says the $54M figure does not include $27M from Yemin's 5% general partnership stake in Delek Logistics."Particularly troublesome are decisions to drop down assets to Logistics at what seem to us to be very low valuations," Icahn writes. "Such drop downs are not in the interest of Delek's stockholders. They were, however, in your personal economic interest because they swelled the coffers of Logistics' general partner - of which you held 5%."Delek has refused
