• This two-part series examines the relatively low birth rates in the U.S. and several European and Asian nations, as well as the high birth rates in Africa.
• The assumed economic implications of low birth rates are fairly dire. I believe some societies can overcome those implications and some cannot.
• Part I dealt with how the U.S. probably can cope with its demographic burden. This Part II will analyze how some European nations, Asian nations, and African nations will cope.
• This Part II will conclude with a summary of what I see as the discussion’s long-term investment implications.
