SGBAF - Intelsat ends discussions to combine with SES - report

- Intelsat SA ( OTCPK:INTEQ ) ended talks to combine with satellite company SES SA ( OTCPK:SGBAF ).
- Intelsat wasn't able to reach an agreement with SES and its major holders, according to a Bloomberg report, which cited people familiar with the situation.
- "Intelsat engages in strategic conversations with potential partners on a regular basis, and we do not publicly comment on the content or outcome of those discussions," Intelsat said in an emailed statement to Bloomberg. SES didn't immediately respond to Bloomberg's request for comment outside normal business hours.
- The report comes after SES (SGBFAF) confirmed merger talks with Intelsat (OTCPK:INTEQ) in late March that could result in a $10 billion company scaling up to compete in a consolidating sector.
