TQQQ - International equity ETFs witnessed weekly fund outflows snapping a 25-week inflow streak
Nastassia Samal/iStock via Getty Images In this week’s latest Refinitiv Lipper U.S. weekly fund flows insight report ending June 16, 2021, information points to the fact that the investment community was net redeemers of fund flows totaling -$30.1B. This includes both exchange traded funds and traditional funds. Money market funds were the primary culprit to investor outflows as market participants redeemed -$26.8B from the space. Also, investors saw outflows in equity funds totaling -$7.1B. From an inflow standpoint, the investment community was net purchasers of taxable bond funds +$2.B and tax-exempt fixed-income funds +$1.9B. From an equity exchange traded fund perspective, ETFs witnessed their second week in a row of positive net inflows totaling +$8.2B. Breaking a 25-week inflow streak, international equity ETFs saw their first week of outflows giving back -$197M.
