SOLO - Investors scramble in electric vehicle sector after Apple-Tesla disruption
Nikola ([[NKLA]] -9.9%) is leading the pack of electric vehicle stocks that trade lower in early action after disclosing it ended its collaboration with Republic Services. Other decliners on what looks like a shift in momentum include QuantumScape (QS) -13.91%, Electrameccanica Vehicles (SOLO) -5.30%, Workhorse Group (WKHS) -4.79%, Ayro (AYRO) -3.75%, Li Auto (LI) -3.48% and XPeng (XPEV) -2.71%.Meanwhile, a couple of EV stocks bucking the weak tape today in the sector are Lordstown Motors ([[RIDE]] +9.8%) and new-to-the-scene Canoo ([[GOEV]] +1.3%). There is also Foresight Autonomous Holdings ([[FRSX]] +44.6%), which is rocketing higher following the Apple iCar development. Tesla is down just 1.36% as investors digest the prediction from Wedbush Securities that Apple will end up partnering in electric vehicles with a company like Tesla, Volkswagen or Nio.
