Ivanhoe Mines (IVPAF) did very well (from the operational perspective) in 2018. In February, it reported significant growth of resources at its giant Kamoa-Kakula copper project; in July, it secured a C$723 million investment from CITIC (CTPCF) and also announced improved resource estimate for the high-grade Kipushi zinc project; in October, the discovery of the Makoko deposit at Ivanhoe's 100%-owned Western Foreland property and reaching the top of the Flatreef deposit at the Platreef project was announced, and in December, the development of the 850-meters below surface
