J.M. Smucker (NYSE:SJM) said Thursday CEO Mark Smucker will assume the expanded role of board chair effective Aug. 17. He will succeed Richard Smucker, who served as executive chairman since 2016. Richard Smucker will retire on Oct. 9 and continue as a director. Effective Aug. 17, Tim Smucker will retire as a director and transition to a new non-voting chairman emeritus role.
