imaginima/E+ via Getty Images JBS Foods confirms it paid a ransom of $11M to cyberattackers after a hack of its servers in the U.S. and Australia. CEO Andre Nogueira of JBA USA said the company had a very difficult decision to make in paying the cyberattackers, but felt the action had to be made to prevent any potential risk for our customers. The cyberattack threatened to disrupt the food supply chain before it was resolved. Sources indicate that a Russia-linked cyber gang by the name REvil and Sodinokibi was behind the attack. Last week, the FBI called the government's ransomware attack response a top priority.
