JNK - Junk Long-Term Corporates Still Leading 2019 Bond Market Rally
The bull run in US bonds shows no sign of slowing, based on year-to-date performances for a set of exchange-traded funds. All the major slices of fixed-income markets are posting gains through yesterday's close (Feb. 19), with junk bonds leading the field by a solid margin.
The SPDR Bloomberg High Yield Bond (JNK) ticked up to a new record high on Wednesday. For the year so far, JNK is up 6.2%. That's a comfortable edge over the year's second-best performer: a short-term portfolio of junk bonds via the iShares 0-5 Year High Yield Corp Bond
