CMSA - Kardashians come to Disney with streaming content in 2021
Reality TV's royal family, the Kardashians, have inked a deal with Disney (DIS) to launch new content in 2021 on the entertainment giant's Hulu and Star streaming subsidiaries.Details about the project are scant, but family matriarch Kris Jenner said in a tweet that is was a "multi year partnership."Strategic shift? The Kardashians appear to be going all in on streaming after stepping away cable television, which is declining in the U.S. The family recently ended E!'s (CMSA) Keeping Up With the Kardashians after 20 seasons, or almost 14 years after its debut.Other new content news announced at Disney's Investor Day include 10 Star Wars spinoff series (following the success of The Mandalorian), Christian Bale joining the Marvel Cinematic Universe, Tom Hanks starring in a Pinnochio remake, while Amy Adams' 2007 film Enchanted will have a sequel entitled Disenchanted.
