KB - KB Financial: A Strong Run, But Too Soon To Chase

The sharp rebound in KB Financial Group ( KB ) shares after the tariff sell-off was almost unprecedented in the past decade. Without significant volume change, KB has rallied around 75% from the lows, one of the sharpest and fastest rallies in history on the back of what I believe a strong technical breakout. However, on deeper scrutiny, fundamentally, I do not see any material durable rerating trigger. In fact, structural risks and challenges are very much present that prevent a Buy call at this juncture for the price. It is difficult to short strong technical breakouts like what KB is seeing at the moment, and this thesis will evaluate whether the rally is ripe for a Sell or KB is a Hold. I do not see fresh Buys supported....
