LRCX - Lam Research pops as Q4 results guidance blow past expectations

Lam Research ( NASDAQ: LRCX ) shares rose more than 3.5% in extended hours trading after the semiconductor capital equipment company reported quarterly results that topped estimates and issued strong guidance.

For the period ending June 25, Lam Research ( LRCX ) earned an adjusted $5.98 per share on $3.21B in revenue. A consensus of analyst estimates expected Lam Research to earn $5.13 per share on $3.15B in revenue.

Looking ahead, Lam Research ( LRCX ) expects first-quarter revenue to be between $3.1B to $3.7B, with the mid-point above the $3.28B estimate. The company also foresees adjusted gross margins for the period between 45.5% and 47.5%, while adjusted operating margins are forecast to fall within a range of 27% to 29%.

The company will host a conference call at 5 p.m. EST to discuss the results.
